Church Life.

Church life is experienced throughout the week, not just on Sundays. We're passionate about making space for people in all areas of life to grow together.

Women

Whether you're seeking prayer, study, or simply good company, our women's groups offer space to grow in faith. We meet across different ages and seasons of life.   We are taking a group of women (and youth) from Greyfriars to the Orchard women’s conference on Saturday 10th October.  More information below.

Men

There are two men’s breakfasts planned for the Autumn term – dates and sign up to follow!

The Greyfriars Men’s Shed is community space where men gather and:

  • Share & Learn Skills: Woodworking, electronics, repairs, upcycling or crafting.
  • Connect: Combat isolation and enjoy great company over a biscuit and tea.
  • Bring friends: extend the Greyfriars welcome.

No experience needed. Whether you're a master craftsman or a complete beginner, have a project half started or a new project to start, or want to join in a shared project then come along.

Where: Memorial Hall (behind the Greyfriars Bookshop)
When: Monday, Thursday & Saturday 10am onwards

Sanctuary

We believe we should be a place of safety for all; offering welcome and hospitality to people fleeing violence and persecution and supporting our congregation to learn about sanctuary in the UK and how to extend welcome in the wider community.  We support the City of Sanctuary movement and have received a Church of Sanctuary Award.

Worship and prayer

Join our worship team, explore creative arts, or gather for prayer. We meet regularly to deepen our encounter with God through music, stillness, and honest conversation.

If you’re interested in joining a band or serving on our audio or visual teams, please email our Worship Pastor ollie.morris@greyfriars.org.uk.

Serve.

Our vision to ‘bless other people’ is realised through the many volunteer hours that are given by church members serving on team.  Perhaps you’d like to serve coffee, welcome people, cook or join the audio-visual, kids and youth teams - we'd love to hear from you!
