One of the most challenging parts of the project is nearly complete. The work to support the historic West End window and wall above the new main door to the church.
The contractor has installed a steel structure the full depth of the wall, which has meant using four massive steel beams. The temporary supports you can see in the photographs will be removed in the coming days.
It’s a real moment of inspiration as we can start to see how the new building will really open up the church in a new way.
