An initiative has started with several churches in Reading to bless the staff in the ICU and CCU departments at the RBH. The doctors and nurses are working very long hours and recently we have been donating snacks, fruit and drinks to help keep them going during their long working days and nights.
Included in these donations are: cereal bars, crisps, nuts, chocolate, jelly sweets, instant soup, instant porridge, sachets of hot chocolate, satsumas, apples, bananas and cartons of fruit juice.
There has also been a request for scrub bags (for staff to put their scrub clothes in after their shifts). If you are able to make these, the dimensions are: 20″ x 20″ with a pull tie at the top.
You may just like to send them a card or note of encouragement.
The staff at RBH have expressed their gratitude – not only for the donations but the fact that they are being thought of, prayed for and valued means so much at this time.
If you would like to be involved, please leave donations in the porch of Angela Bevan 10, Monks Way, RG30 3DP.
