Join us for one of the events over the Christmas period.
2nd December – Lantern Parade meet at New Hope Community Church at 4.00pm. Come and join our Christmas celebrations this afternoon, as we spend time creating Christmas lanterns before joining with a number of churches in Caversham for a Lantern Parade at 5pm.
8th December – Stable Trail – . Come with us as we journey to Bethlehem, joining with the angels, shepherds, wise men and more, as they prepare for Christmas. We’ll even have Live Donkeys (£2 per child). Family event aimed at children, suitable for all. Drop in any time between 10am -12pm & 1pm-3pm for a 15 minute trail through the nativity
9th December – Acoustic Carols – An evening service as we celebrate with carols, readings all in a different format, as we focus on Jesus the Eternal Light. 6.30pm at Greyfriars
16th December – Carol Services. 3pm join us this Christmas as we celebrate with carols, readings and more at this family friendly service (suitable for all ages). 5pm & 7pm Our Christmas carol services as we celebrate with carols, readings and guest speaker Krish Kandiah (suitable for those aged 10 years and above) all held at Greyfriars
18th December – Carolling in the Parish. Meet at New Hope Community Church 6.00pm
23rd December – Nativity Service. 10.30am at Greyfriars. As we draw closer to Christmas Day we think once again of the journey to that first nativity scene, celebrating with carols, readings, family orchestra and more.
24th December – Christingle. 4.00pm at both New Hope and Greyfriars. Join us for a short but special celebration for children and all the family on Christmas Eve. Take a Christingle home to light and remember the real meaning of Christmas.
24th December – Midnight Communion. 11.00pm at Greyfriars. We meet for about an hour to pause and reflect on the birth of Jesus at this Holy Communion Service
25th December – Christmas Day Family Service. 10.30 at both Greyfriars and New Hope. Our Christmas Day celebration of the birth of Jesus, the Light of the World. There will be a Communion service following the meeting at Greyfriars and included as part of the service at New Hope
